Gender and Community Empowerment Initiative (GECOME) is a Non-Govenmental Organisation Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC on the 8th Day of January ,2013 with Certificate Number CAC/IT/NO 58762
Gecome is a member of several networks of Civil Society Organisations which include some of the following, Women in Humanitarian network in Nigeria, Civil Society Organisations in Benue and Feminist Humanitarian Network among others. Gecome operates in seven Thematic Areas including Humanitarian, Gender and Social Protection in the Humanitarian Sector.
